Lead Director
Following the successful RTX30 and RTX40 launch videos, ZOTAC teamed up again with Orchid and Sony Pictures for the Spider-Man™: Across the Spider-Verse partnership campaign.
The goal was to promote the RTX40 GPU line through a hero video blending cinematic storytelling and branded energy.
As Creative Director and Lead Motion Designer, I guided the overall art direction, handled R&D for the visual style, and oversaw animation, 3D integration, and localization setup.
The creative intent was to merge ZOTAC’s hardware identity with Spider-Verse’s unique visual DNA — a mix of 2D, 3D, and glitch effects — to amplify the tagline “Power the Hero in You.”
The production highlighted the custom GPU cover, collectible mascots, and hero shots while keeping the story cohesive, fast-paced, and visually striking.
challenge.
The main challenge was balancing visual complexity and readability within the Spider-Verse aesthetic.
The film’s style is chaotic, colorful, and layered — perfect for spectacle but difficult to translate into a clean branded campaign.
We had to respect strict visual guidelines while ensuring ZOTAC’s products remained the focal point.
From a technical side, the After Effects setup was built for easy localization, allowing language swaps without re-rendering heavy sequences.
I coordinated a small team including a 3D artist for product renders, a motion designer for support during production, and a sound studio for the final mix.
Rendering in full 4K required careful precomp management and optimized assets to keep production within deadlines.
result.
The final video delivered a seamless fusion between cinema and product storytelling, establishing a strong creative bridge between ZOTAC and the Spider-Verse universe.
The campaign received positive audience feedback on YouTube and social platforms and was later showcased on ZOTAC’s Computex 2023 booth as part of their global marketing rollout.
The custom logo animation created for this project was reused on ZOTAC’s official product landing page, reinforcing the visual continuity of the collaboration.
